EXTREMELY RARE 1800s WHITE MOCHA WAVE JAR with LID YELLOW WARE

Here we have an extremely rare and attractive jar with 4 white mocha wave decorations around the side. The potter used a thick white glaze that stands in relief on the side of the jar. The jar is finely molded with matching stepped bands around the rim and base. The potter further decorated the jar and lid with matching brown glaze bands. This canister is topped with a raised lid and button knob. Measuring 5 ¾? to the rim and 7 ½? to the top of the lid, this is an extremely rare and attractive mocha decoration. At some point the underside of the jar was damaged and had been repaired to preserve the jar. There is no other damage or repairs.
