Simple & easy to operate.  User instructions:  To use, just plug in and toggle to either low speed or high speed.  Remember it is always best to start out mixing/blending at low speed.  To clean just wipe with a damp cloth and wipe dry.  Do not submerge into water above Rival name plate, (See photo).  Do not submerge into water the 2 Speed toggle switch.  You may wipe that area with a damp cloth.  Use caution when mixing or blending hot liquid and food items.  It's that easy to start enjoying the Rival Model 951 Immersion Stick Blender.
