It does suffer from a common Vita Mix malady and needs a potentiometer . This is the center variable speed dial. These are ready available and easy to change if you should desire. Complete how to videos are all over the internet on this procedure. It does somewhat work on variable but is very troublesome . Selling unit as pictured and as described . All items will arrive thoughtfully and safely packaged in a new box with weatherproof label. I box all my items. I do not trust envelopes unless its the occasional Flat Rate envelope and then it's always reinforced for no bending.
